This is one of my most interesting and detailed designs, helped by a very creative client. He collected all sorts of items for the lodge, from furniture, farming implements to old timber planks.
The lodge has no internal doors; we used striped carports from the Middle East. We mixed a lot of different textures and finishes, including dry-stack stonework, hardwood slat panelling, washed brickwork, Cemcrete wall and floor coatings, natural hardwood planks, a few leaded glass windows, bookshelves, and an amazing array of ornamentation that my client had collected.
I used smaller structures and roofs connected by glazed passages with flat concrete roofs rather than one big thatch roof.
There is no other place like this that I know of.
