PARKMORE – A HOME REIMAGINED

This project was a major alteration and addition to an existing home in Parkmore, Sandton. The original house had a thatch roof and, once it was removed, very little of the structure remained. The building process was challenging and at times quite stressful.

My client was passionate about her new home and persevered through the building process. She was great to work with.

The end result is a modern “farmhouse” with open trusses and beautiful natural light. We used tinted concrete extensively, including the floors and bathroom surfaces. A metal box was welded around the original fireplace and allowed to rust, becoming a striking feature in the living area.
